Program details

Self-Generation Incentive Program

The SGIP program was created to help address the growing demand for electricity in California. To help meet this demand, it’s faster to invest in lots of distributed battery systems than to build large power plants. Batteries keep costs down and can respond quickly to spikes at the local level. 💪
No solar? No problem. You don’t need panels to qualify for SGIP.

Haven’s role in SGIP

Haven is an approved SGIP installer & developer, and top-rated provider of battery installation services in California. In other words, we’re your partner for getting a free battery through this program.
SGIP approval happens outside of Haven. We’ll do everything we can to submit your application before funds run out.
