How it works
Haven is your partner for getting a free solar + battery system from California.
We do it all – system design, SGIP rebate application, and turnkey installation – so you can focus on the good stuff: real savings and reliable power.
Our process
1
Check eligibility
To confirm you qualify for a no-cost solar + battery system, we’ll need to verify you meet the income requirements for the SGIP Equity rebate. We’ll also need a copy of a recent utility bill, which we’ll use to understand your electric set-up and energy usage.
A few questions we’ll ask:
- How big is your home?
- What is your average monthly energy usage?
- What does your electrical setup look like?
- How old is your roof?
2
Get approved
Once we confirm you qualify for the SGIP Equity Rebate, we’ll create a custom solar + battery proposal for you. If everything looks good, you’ll sign your program participation agreement. This will let us request your SGIP funds from California and install your system at no cost to you.
What’s inside your proposal:
- System design, including number of batteries and type
- Estimated monthly savings on electric bill
- Estimated backup time provided by your battery
3
Installation
Haven handles your installation from start to finish. We are a top-rated installer and certified SGIP developer, and will make sure your system is installed with complete care and attention.
Let us do the heavy lifting:
- Engineering plans for your desired system
- Local permitting for approved plans
- Material delivery and install planned around your schedule
- Coordinating an inspection by city, once system is operational
4
Your power, optimized
Once your solar + battery system is installed, you’ll see the impact right away: lower bills by 90% and the end of power outages.
We’ll help you make the most of your battery:
- Set time-of-use schedules to optimize your energy usage for lower bills every month
- Connect your backup reserve to weather alerts so you always have power in case of an emergency
- Lower household emissions by 22% every year
