The battery works around the clock to automatically power your home during an outage, and supports the grid when needed.
Your home stays powered
If there's an outage, your battery automatically switches to backup mode and starts powering your home. Depending on your usage, a fully charged system can keep essentials running for 1-2 days.
Your stored energy never dispatches to the grid in an outage. It stays home.
About your Haven plan
With your Haven plan, the battery will join occasional grid support events.
What happens: When electricity demand is very high, the battery will deploy up to 80% of the stored energy to meet electricity demand and prevent power outages nearby.
Summer (June - September)
Typically 30-60 events, lasting 1-3 hours
Winter (November - March)
Typically 1-10 events, lasting 1-3 hours
Events are never during severe weather and your 20% home reserve is always protected.
Your 10-year Haven plan covers the battery, installation, and ongoing care.

Your Haven plan is a 10 year service agreement in which Haven owns the battery during the term. You have options at the end of term with no commitment.
You have options at the end of your 10-year term.
Keep the battery. You can purchase the battery at fair market value (FMV) or renew your Haven plan. The FMV at year 10 reflects the depreciated value of the equipment. For battery systems that are 10 years old, this is typically a fraction of the original cost.
Remove the battery. If you choose not to keep or renew your plan with Haven, Haven can remove the battery at no cost to you.
Whether you have solar or not, the battery will still offer backup power.
No solar? Your battery charges from the grid and provides backup power during outages — without the fuel or upkeep of a generator.
Already have solar? Your battery can work alongside your existing system, whether leased or owned.
No solar required. You can get approved for a battery that works without being connected to solar.
Smart charging will help lower your electric costs.
The battery charges using electricity from the grid or from your solar panels, if you have them. Your Haven plan includes moving to a time-of-day electric rate, so the battery can charge when electricity costs less.
Your actual electric bill may vary month over month depending on your energy use and the grid events that take place.
Qualifying homes receive an extra $300 / year. Some energy-impacted and income-qualifying households may receive an annual payment from Haven that can help offset battery charging costs.
