How we'll use $40M in new funds to accelerate the future of distributed power

At Haven, we believe the future of power starts at home. Today, we're excited to share a major milestone: Haven has raised $40 million in new funding to expand the deployment and aggregation of residential distributed energy resources (DERs) nationwide.

The raise includes equity led by Giant Ventures and a debt facility from Turtle Hill, with additional equity participation from California Infrastructure Bank, Carnrite Ventures, Chaac Ventures, Comcast Ventures, and Lerer Hippeau. The new funding will accelerate our partnerships with utility companies and community choice aggregators (CCAs), expand our leasing model and Channel Partner Program for local installers, and support the continued buildout of one of the nation's largest virtual power plant (VPP) networks.

The grid is changing faster than anyone expected

Our country is in the middle of a generational rebuild of the power system and it's happening at a breakneck pace. Solar and home battery systems have redefined what's possible, offering cleaner, more affordable, and more resilient energy than legacy infrastructure.

We're scaling this transformation from the ground up by turning individual homes into the building blocks of a smarter grid. Through deep partnerships with utilities and trusted local installers, we can deploy distributed capacity far faster than traditional utility infrastructure projects.

Energy demand in the U.S. is projected to rise 15% by 2030, outpacing new generation and transmission. Without a new approach, the result will be higher costs, more outages, and increasing strain on the grid. Distributed systems offer a solution: local, flexible capacity that strengthens the grid while delivering real benefits to homeowners — bill savings and backup power.

How we're scaling distributed capacity through utility partnerships

To meet these challenges, we're partnering directly with utilities and community choice aggregators (CCAs) to deploy home solar and battery systems to their customers. These projects provide much-needed resilience, cost savings, and load flexibility.

We've now installed more than 10 MW of distributed capacity, have over 50 MW in development for 2026, and maintain a project pipeline of more than $70 million. This growing capacity supports both our virtual power plant (VPP) and the utility-run programs we build and manage for partners including:

These collaborations form the backbone of how we plan to scale distributed capacity nationwide. Historically, distributed generation and utilities have been positioned at odds, but the future requires tight alignment - especially around energy storage. By working together, we can maximize the grid value of distributed assets and strengthen resilience faster than ever before.

Expanding access through our leasing model and installer program

This funding also accelerates the growth of our leasing model and Channel Partner Program, enabling trusted local installers to bring Haven's systems directly to homeowners.

We handle financing, operations, performance monitoring, and VPP integration - allowing installers to focus on what they do best: installation and customer service. This model reduces friction for homeowners and expands access to clean, resilient energy for communities nationwide.

Building our energy future

We believe it's the companies that scale quickly and responsibly that will determine the future of the grid. This new funding allows us to move faster - expanding grid capacity more efficiently than traditional infrastructure, broadening access to clean energy, and transforming more individual homes into smart, connected energy assets.

The future of power isn't years away. We're building it now.
